The Wonder Place

Today we went on a play date to The Wonder Place in Little Rock. I didn't get any pictures with our "date" being that they were both so busy checking the whole place out, but I did get a few snap shots of her favorite things she like. I thought everything was so neat but I am more worn out than Lola... I had to chase her all over the place. We had a blast and I will hopefully get a picture of her and her date next time we take them out together (he is a cutie!) There is a sweet video at the bottom of Lola playing in the water, she had a blast!

Musicians in the Making????

I don't know about you but I think we may have two musicians on our hands. Hannah (my older sisters little girl) came down for a visit this past weekend for my step-dad's birthday! Lola and Hannah played on the piano and enjoyed every minute of it and as you can see they got a little wild, Hannah! They played with Lola's new stroller and with their other cousin Katelyn (who I might add is a fabulous babysitter!) We had a cook out and a huge family get together. My step-sister and her husband came down from Kansas and the rest of the gang came too! Needless to say we had a house FULL! The food was great as well as the catching up I had to do! Haha Happy Birthday Mike AKA Papaw, We love you!

Just a few snap shots

Lola is hitting one mile stone after another and just growing like a weed! I need something to put in her bottles to slow this process down. I have LOVED every stage she has gone through (I hope I'm not shooting myself in the foot here) but I do enjoy getting the experience of being with her as she took her first step, ate her first bite of food, and even had the privilege to sit back and laugh as she threw her first temper tantrum. OH the joys my little weed brings to my life... I wish there was something like "Round-up" I could use to slow all this process down but not hinder the precious moments... (I hate to see wilted grass around my house from my dear husbands love for -Round-up-)well as there is nothing on the market for now I will just cherish every moment and every day as they are flying by! (sorry folks this is why I take LOTS of pictures)

Lola has learned to use a sippy cup and I mean she has it down pat! I can put juice in her cup and its gone with in a few minutes. She will throw her cup down and grunt as I think that means "More Please" in the sweetest voice. I am trying hard to teach her sign language as it is often difficult when I do the sign for "more" and she laughs, OH or when I try and take her hands to say "thank you" or "please" and she quickly grabs them back and squeals while looking at me with that "Did you just do that" look on her face. She thinks this is all a game so I'm learning to play this game too. A sense of humor is nice on situations like these.

Here are just a few photo opportunities I thought I would share!!! Isn't she just funny!!! At the bottom there is a video. You all may not understand what she is doing, but right at the beginning she is lifting her eye brows as Ryan is doing it first. She is mocking him and she thinks it is so funny. She won't do it as good now but when we try to get her to do it she laughs so hard. I just had to show everyone! Its worth a good laugh to hear her laugh! Happy Wednesday!

Sweet Summer Time

Awwwww the smell of a sweet summer with a sweet family to enjoy it with! We are always on the go! I don't know if I get it from my mom but I love to get out and go! These past two weeks have been CRAZY!!! From a wedding, to doctor appointments to a craft show, WOW I thought I would never make it oh and add VBS in there too!

I was the VBS craft teacher for the preschool age this year at our church. It was a wild west theme and oh we had fun! They brought a horse to visit and as you can see Lola wasn't sure about it. My in-laws have horses and she has pet them before but when she touched this one her face was priceless. It was like she got licked in the face and nothing even touched her face. I just thought it was so sweet I posted a picture!

I was also a bridesmaid in a wedding. It was my second time to be a bridesmaid and I was honored to be a part of her day. I love to dress up and get pretty, but the only days that happens in on Sundays anymore. I do miss working but I miss it for the wrong reasons! Haha

Ryan has been working quite a lot and that means I have been too! I don't get his help during this time of the year as he is working from sun up till well after the sun goes down. I have now learned what "dark thirty" means! I laugh as there is so much more "farm lingo" I have to learn. So with that being said I am a REAL full time SAHM(stay at home mom.) But they did get off one day at noon and I took the opportunity to enjoy some me time while Lola and Ryan washed his truck... I love that picture!

I can't believe my baby will be a year in two months. I am so overwhelmed with the thought that she is growing up so fast. I am so happy to have a sweet baby and I do look forward to the woman she will grow up to be!

On top of everything else we are dealing with some allergies. Lola has had a constant diaper rash for about 3 or 4 months now. When I say diaper rash I don't mean a little irritated skin so slap some Desitin on her little bottom and go on.. I mean blisters and I could open up a drug store with all the creams we have. We tried home remedies, every type of cream and the list goes on. I finally took her to the doctor. I hated to take her in for a diaper rash but I could no longer keep it under control. The doctor spent 30 minutes with us and by the end of the visit we are on Benedryl twice to three times a day and we have to put this special cream on her bottom several times a day. He is thinking she has a soy protein allergy. We are now on a DIFFERENT type of formula and its actually the basic cows milk Enfamil. As it seems to be getting better I am trying to decide if I should go to cloth diapers and keep the disposable ones for when we are out and about. The doctor said if she rash isn't better in two weeks we are looking at cloth diapers for sure. He thinks there is something like latex in the diaper she is allergic to. I know when I put cloth diapers on here you may think nasty but they are new and improved now days. I looked at some and they are so neat...but yes it does bring on more laundry for me! ha So we are taking one step at a time. My poor little baby! With all this going on she is still happy and always in good spirits!

As we are home today and trying to get the house clean I thought it would be a good opportunity to catch up on our blog and take a break! Hope you all have a happy Monday!!!

Splish splash

The beautiful summer has arrived. It may be hot, but its so pretty! I have so much to be thankful for and this sweet girl is one thing that I am extremely grateful for! I took her out today to play in her new pool. Though she was apprehensive at first she quickly warmed up to the idea of splashing around! I have one video of her crawling all around the pool but I thought you all could sense a little more humor and personality from the one I have chosen. I just love these!!!
